If you are using StumbleUpon (and I’m a big fan!), you’ve got a few minutes to spare, right? Please download (for free) the ReciFoto iPhone/iPod App or iPad App right now. And then tell a friend! I bet my wife that I could get the app into the Food & Drink Top 10 by the end of this week. We just broke into the top 200 (there are thousands of food and drink apps), so we’re on our way!
What is ReciFoto, you ask. Well, We’re trying to create the world’s largest recipe collection. If you have a stack of recipes that you’ve stashed somewhere and don’t know what to do with them, ReciFoto is your answer. And, we want the recipes that mean something to you. We want the recipes handed down from your grandmother to your mother to you. We want the recipes that you give to your friends. And we want to do it a little differently than most – via images of the recipes. Those stained recipe cards yield more than just some good food, they are a connection to the past. We’d like to be a Wikipedia of recipes, which is why we’ve named our blog Wikirecipedia.
But if you are more of a browser than an uploader, that’s cool too. Just flick through the recipes the way you would go through pictures on Instagram. If you see something that interests you, tap on it, and pinch out to zoom, or you can share it via e mail, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Registration takes less than a minute, and then log in and boom, you are on deck to be part of something big and fun.
