Thanksgiving and the Madeleine Questionnaire

Congratulations, if you are reading this, you have successfully made it through another Thanksgiving! Dishes at our table were a combination of the traditional and contemporary. Since we had a small gathering this year, and only half were carnivores, I made a butterflied turkey breast rather than a whole bird. I cut it into two pieces, marinating one half with a sweet chili sauce and the other half with a sesame dressing. And, to free up oven space, I grilled them!

What was at your table? Did one of the dishes bring back a surge of memories like Proust’s Madeleine?

If so, I invite you to take The Madeleine Questionnaire. I hope that it brings back a flood of good memories for you, including the tastes and smells of your past.As the stories are told to us through The Madeleine Questionnaire, we’ll share them with you. Even if you don’t answer any of the questions in writing, maybe you’ll have a few moments where your memories are jogged and you get to recover a taste, a smell, or even a feeling that is from and of your past.
